The man named stewert made our purchase easy,no other way to say it . Except he went above and beyond a salesperson, i will have no problem making it our 1st stop in the future,also reminds me of how close my own family run business was,customers that wanted the famliy feeling instead of the big business model.
Customer satisfaction is truly their goal at Matter Brothers. Our salesman Jon Berry went above and beyond what I have ever experienced before, to be sure we were satisfied with our selections.
We needed to buy furniture for our new place in Naples and went to at least 4 other stores. When we walked into Matter Brothers we had the best experience with Deb. She's a designer, how helpful is that! She knows exactly what she's talking about when guiding us through our selections! She didn't give us her opinion unless we asked. She knew our price point and while talking to us was able to figure out the look we wanted. We are now so excited to get moved into our new place!
Terrible customer service at the Naples store. They are quick to write you up, then they forget about you. I purchased three items and waited 3 months for them to come in. I had to call to find out if they were in because they never called me to say they arrived. After delivery, I discovered one of the pieces was a floor sample. I know this because it was very dirty, had decorative moss pieces on the inside, a store hang tag that was ripped off, and had none of the manufacturer wrapping that the other two did. Plus when I was in the store to place my order, I took a photo of the piece on the floor. It is a distressed finish with nail holes and marks, and that cannot be duplicated exactly, and these two are a perfect match - and this one had damage. So I called the store manager who argued with me that it was NOT the floor sample, regardless of my evidence, and said there were no more and it is discontinued. I asked for a discount for receiving the floor sample when my order showed I was buying new. He wouldn't budge one penny, so I emailed the owner, Gary Matter, with my experience and my photo proof. That went completely ignored. HORRIBLE underhanded business. They swap out floor samples for new. They argue with customers. What ever happened to "The customer is always right?" I gave them two chances to make it right, or at least be nice about it and respond, but they didn't so now they get my negative review. How they stay in business is beyond me.
On the positive side, why they are one star worthy instead of zero, is that their service technician came out and fixed the damage, but to me that does not take away from the fact that they intentionally charged me for new and gave me used, and then argued with me about it. I won't be back and I am warning everyone I know to shop elsewhere!
Lot of beachy stuff, bought table, delivery driver was the worst I've ever had. I won't shop there again.
