I was a caregiver for my Mother the last 9 years of her life. During that time Dr Kapp repaired 2 broken " hips", 2006 and 2008, and a volar shear of the left wrist, 2013 for her. With each fall I feared Mother's already failing life would end. With each fall Dr Kapp used his magic to put her back together and get her mobile once more. Recently had Dr Kapp perform double hip replacement surgery on my body. He is absolutely and unequivocally the best of the best. It was a true honor to have such an expert and legend work on my body. While Dr. Howard Kapp may be quick in and out of the hospital we found his bedside manner contrary to the other reviews to be rather professional and proficient. As many patients as he takes care of he has to maintain a certain speed yet still manages to care for each individual patient as needed. Every issue that arised was addressed and managed within a decent time frame considering how hospitals typically run and the surgery itself was done perfectly despite taking more time to correct an unforseen issue. He answered all of our presurgical questions with concise and realistic answers and his post care team was extremely helpful. We had an exceptional home therapist who worked with/for Dr. Kapp named Joyce who gently pushed to get maximum results in a minimal time period, she had a good sense of humor and great bedside manner noticing when the movement was too difficult or too advanced and switched to another that was more capable of the timeframe. We were very pleased with the results at her guidance of exercises. Overall the facility was exactly what we could've hoped for from the front staff's attentiveness to our paperwork to Dr. Kapp's underrated surgical skills. Would not hesitate to go back to Dr. Kapp and refer anyone to his facility. This was our second choice only to Hospital for Special Surgery in New York and we are more pleased to have this local Surgeon right on par with that prestigious facility.
I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kapp. I had two knee replacements, six months apart. I haven't felt this good in a long time. Don't even think about my knees! Thank you Dr. Kapp!
