I have had horrendous migraines since my childhood. I was new to the area and a migraine came upon me. I called Dr Howards office and they got me in the same day! I found him to be very caring, compassionate and professional. He has been treating me for a few years now and I have always found him to be a competent, skilled, and easy to communicate with. I am an R.N., I am very capable of judging physicians not only on a personal level, but a professional one. Dr Howard is one of the best. I have found Amy who works for him to also be kind, hardworking and pleasant to me. She is diligent in dealing with my insurance company, and nowdays that isn't an easy endeavor. I absolutely recommend Dr Howard without any reservations.
I'm an RN and highly critical in evaluating other health professionals and I must say my experience with Dr. Howard and his staff (Amy and his nurse) were tremendous!! They were highly professional, friendly and empathetic to my pain at that time. I had severe crippling back pain with sciatica, could not sit, sleep, drive or get myself into any comfortable position, and numbness in my right leg for about a week. After my MRI Dr. Howard spent almost an hour with me reviewing my MRI, treatment options and at home exercises. He also referred me to Phisiofit for PT and suggested an epidural steroid injection which I got yesterday. I am on the road to being pain free and cannot say enough about my experience with Dr. Howard and also at the hospital center where he did a CAT assisted epidural under sedation, yes I am a whimp and wanted to be sedated, it was painless and easy! I would highly recommend Dr. Howard and have no doubt he is one of the best in Naples! Thank you! cindy
DO NOT GO TO DR. RON HOWARD!!!!! I was a patient of his for 2 years. Every time I went to see Dr. Howard the appointment usually lasted all of 3 minutes during that time he had his head down most of the time barely paying any attention to what I was saying. I believe in this case Dr. Howard is much more concerned about getting his money from each patient rather than actually helping them or listening to anything they have to say. I called Dr. Howards office to get a refill of the medication he prescribed me to take each day for the last 2 years. The secretary was so rude. She informed me that because I missed 2 appointments "which was never true" that he dismissed me as a patient. I asked why no one contacted me to tell me this. They said they sent a letter in the mail. Not only did the letter not arrive but you would think if a doctor cared about his patients he would give them a call at the very least or leave a voice mail so that I could find another doctor. I wasn't even aware that a doctor could do that. I then told the secretary I was on my way in to the office. The minute I walked into the door I was approached by Dr. Ron Howard. The first words out of his mouth were "We are done". How does a doctor say that to a patient. It sounds more like what an enemy would say than my neurologist. I then pulled out my phone and started video recording Dr. Howard and asked him to please explain again why I was no longer his patient and he got upset because he didn't want anyone seeing how he treats a patient he picked up the phone and said If I didn't leave he would call the cops of me for trespassing. Up until 5 minutes before I showed up at his office I was under the assumption that I was still a patient since no other doctor in my entire life has dismissed me as a patient. Please save yourself the headache and find another Neurologist.
So I call on a monday july 11th to see if they accept my insurance and to make an appt if they do. And she tells me she would let me know by the end of Wednesday july 13th, I've never been to a place where they ever take that long in to check if they take the insurance. So i never got a phone call back. I called that same Wednesday and left a message for them to call me back. Thursday no call back. So today friday july 15 I call and they tell me they can fit me in saturday the 23rd at 1pm. I tell her im off friday 22nd and if she can please squeeze me in. She can't because they only take new patients in on Saturdays!!! WTF! Some of us work on weekends. And Saturday the 30th I'll be out of town for vacation... I think considering the fact that I've been calling since july 11th and made myself available every morning up until july 27th they could of helped me out for not returning my calls... These people wouldnt go out of there way to help you...
Incredible doctor. Very interpersonal. He cares about the well-being of his patients. Also the wait time for appointments is very low. The longest I've ever waited is 10 minutes, sometimes it's only taken 1 minute.
