Keep in mind, they will say anything to keep customers coming, i withheld rent due to my damaged property, however, i offered to put the money in an escrow account. They refused and put their lock on my unit... they obviously do not understand the laws here in. They also kept my deposit after their poorly kept units caused over $500 in damages. They also refused to refund my deposit all this without giving me proper notice as required by Fl law.
Solid people. Inexpensive storage.
This place is a dump. The units were poorly kept... it had nothing to do with the Florida whether. The units hsd holes... that caused the mold.
This has to be the worst place to store your things. I stored my things there for only a few months, and ALL my things were completely ruined.
The Manager (Tricia) added a positive review. .. that should speak volumes... trying to boost their star rating... pathetic! !!
When we explain our storage facility, we stress the units are not climate controlled and proper care should be taken when storing personal items. Ace Super Storage went out of our way trying to help this customer. We were understanding when she was unable to pay her bill on-time. We, once again, in an email stressed the importance of storing items to avoid mold/mildew issues (SW Florida is both very hot and humid. This person not take any of our suggestions that were both given orally and in a follow up email. When we gave her 2 weeks to remove her belongings after paying just the rent due to that point, she did not. It took at least 2 more weeks. When she finally understood that she needed to take responsibility for this At the time she showed up, I was there to remove our lock and took pictures of the condition of her unit. Not only did she not pack items properly, she had books and papers all over the place. We go out of our way to give our tenants the best service possible. We have over 400 units at our site. They were unapologetic, and refused to resolve the issue. Now I know why there units were so cheap... and it cost me much more.
