TAX DOLLARS AT WORK OR WASTE SHOULD I SAY! I RECEIVE A NOTICE DATED 10/20/16 FOR AN APPOINTMENT ON 10/20/16 MAILED TO AN ADDRESS IVE LIVE AT 5 YEARS AGO OR MORE!!! I GO TO THE OFFICE SPEAK WITH I.HERRERA WHO SAYS OH THAT WAS MY MISTAKE! YOU THINK??? THEN REQUEST ITEMS DATING BACK TO 2013 I HAVE BEEN HOMELESS, LIVED ANYWHERE I WAS TAKEN IN AND WHAT NOT!!! I APPLIED IN 2000 HOWEVER AFTER BEING DENY TIME AND TIME AGAIN FOR YEARS KEPT REAPPLYING!! BY THE GRACE OF GOD IT WAS JUST APPROVED ON 8/25/2016!!! IT IS NOW OCTOBER 25th I NOW HAVE REQUESTED COPIES OF THOSE REQUESTED DOCUMENTS I HAVE TO PRINT AND EMAIL THERE ARE 47 PAGES!!! I HAVE NO VEHICLE OR INTERNET ACCESS BUT THE PHONE IM ON LET ALONE A FAX! OBVIOUSLY IM GOING TO HAVE TO BORROW MORE MONEY TO GET THIS DONE! THE DOCUMENTS WHERE SENT TO ME IN PDF FILE FORM THEY WILL NOT ACCEPT AN EMAIL SO THAT THEY MAY BE ABLE TO PRINT AND HELP ME OUT. I AM DISGUSTED AT THIS SYSTEM AND THE VERY RUDE PEOPLE AT SOCIAL SECURITY PERIOD. WHO HIRES THESE PEOPLE AND WHO EVER DOES NEEDS TO BE FIRED!! YES I AM A US CITIZEN I AM AN AMERICAN I APPRECIATE THE FREEDOM WE ARE GIVEN BUT GOVERNMENT FACILITIES SUCH AS THIS MAKE ME ASHAMED TO SAY THIS IS HOW WE TREAT OUR PEOPLE YET REFUGEES ARE GIVEN MANY OF OUR SERVICES SUCH AS MEDICAID A SOCIAL SECURITY CARD FOOD STAMPS AND GID KNOWS WHAT ELSE IMMEDIATELY!!! Clean, fairly fast service for the volume at hand. But the information they give you can be wrong at times. They made a HUGE mistake, and i went back to correct it, some stupid Spanish female with a huge attitude and a know it all attitude refused to address our concerns. Basically, here is what happened. we changed payee for someone, and changed the payment method to a card they had. They sent the new card to the old payee and not to me, this caused huge misunderstanding and confusion. The first person who helped us was responsible but he was friendly, the time we came back the Spanish women refused to accept out story about what happen with her know it all attitude. We resolved the whole issue thru the other company that handles payments, I think this social security office has some serious issues with feeling letting the power of controlling old people benefits go to their head. The security man is very professional and kind, the location is horrible, the place is clean, but hope you get a good person at that counter because that ruined out trip. Do your own verification, don't expect them to give you the right story. get your information from direct express because the people working there have no idea what they are talking about and are gonna tell it like they do. the lady from direct express told me it is quite common for the ssi office people to have no idea how things really work and leads you on with misinformed info that my cause unexpected problems for you latter. Basically, they made a mistake and refused to acknowledge it, acted like they know it all is sad considering these people who go depend on their checks for daily needs and have no other options. I am personally very upset that just moronic people are in charge of the well being of societies most vulnerable people. I am upset, and while its a nice clean and somewhat fast location the workers behind those walls really were jerks, specially the young Spanish lady. I understand mistakes happen but its not gonna be the end of the world to accept guilt and apologize.
